Newly acquired loves - garage sale specials:

Four bucks for the heavy-ass Texas trivet and five for the dress form.  No, I did not need a 2nd dress form but if you've ever priced one of these, you would've brought it home too.  It'll be put to good use or go to a good home.  I'm happy with my goodies.

I'm doing well on the house clear out.  I recently tackled DS's room.  We unloaded the bedroom suit and are down to a bed and computer desk.  I need to find him a small dresser and make a headboard.  All Chicago Bears.  Gotta love my lil jock strap.  I've also gotta figure out his window treatments.

Tomorrow I fight the appraisal district - what fun.

No knitting/crocheting to show.  In my spare time I've been working out, learning how to become rich an keeping up with everyday life.  Sorry :-(

Although mine is not egg white, this is how I feel:


It is either allergies or a virus.  Yuk!

I don't really want to see the movie but (at times) can relate to the movie The Waitress where she makes the "I hate my husband pie."  When DH was snippy last night I considered making him a "Bullet In the Head Pie" but I decided to stand there with my mouth agape acting like an innocent bystander who was just sprayed with puddle water by a speeding car.  For some reason that has the most impact.  The pie would elicit no response since he'd either be thrashing on the floor or not moving at all.  J/K

Life is pretty much a mess right now.  Work is busy with all the comings/goings of the students for summer break.  I have successfully stayed off the smokes for an entire month as of tomorrow.  It may not seem like much but that works out to 720 hours.  If you subtract 8 hours/day for sleep, that comes out to 480.  If I only (yeah right) smoked 1 per hour - I have not smoked 480 cigarettes.  That is almost 3 cartons.  I had a major craving this past Saturday after dinner with the eldest two chil'rens.  I did not have a celebratory drink because that would've thrown me over the edge and I would've smoked my dress at that point.  Water only and I made it through to the next day!  Yeah for me.

I haven't been crafting.  I have been off/on with the workouts because of scheduling issues.  Evening baseball if GB has a game, bring work home night,  DH's boss at house night...you know, life!  I sneak it in when I can and tell myself that it is better than nothing.

I'm off - to dream up another pie.
