Okay, I'm off my large, rear area and I knocked out two projects just to prove it.
I bought this quilt at a yard sale for a few dollars - they had it thrown under a table. I'm a major digger at yard sales - you cannot hide your goodies from me! Not long after I bought the quilt, I found a Ralph Lauren Twin Sized Top Sheet at a thrift store for $3.00. Hmmm, I know what to do with that! Tada!
Now it'll keep someone warm while it's being loved and cared for - I love it! Check out the RL tag - hehe. Now it is a designer quilt. It has already taken a bath and is ready for some good snuggling - if only the weather would cooperate.
While I was trying to be quiet while everyone was sleeping at 5:30 a.m., I cut out these long "Jams" for DGS Brendan. I picked up the fabric in the remnant bin when I stopped by Hobby Lobby to return a frame. These cost me $3.50 and my Sunday afternoon. I still need to cinch the waist but I need an appearance from DGB in order to do that.
I think GB will love them. Since we have GB during the weekday evenings, we plan on hitting the fabric store and letting him pick out fabric for him and GrandDad Jams. DH's mother loves to sew up DH's Jams and made him and GB matching Buzz Lightyear ones a few years back. After the fabric store we'll head over to Nana's and take her some dinner. It'll be a fun evening and I don't have to do the sewing!
Thanks for booting me off my butt, Ruthie. All that reading has been making my eyes sore - this was a welcome breather.
xoxo
