Here it is! A finished object. This yarn came from my dear cousin who also thinks yarn has feelings and this was some sad yarn that was purchased at Murphy's back in the day for $1.69/skein and then ended up in someone's yard sale. It is very happy now and grinning like the Cheshire cat.
I
didn't know if the yarn would go together since there is a pink, a purple and a variegated tan/grey/cream. This was the first go with the yarn and the pattern worked out perfectly for the yarn. It didn't fight me along the way and it was a quick and easy project. That told me that it is what it wanted to be. DS Will snuggled under it all last evening. Thanks Ruthie!
Saturday was my business grand opening party. Of course, that was not the only thing I had to tackle that day. I needed to find tiki torches for the party to ward off the gigantic swarm of mosquitos from our very wet summer. I also needed to go to the grocery store in order to make the potato salad and baked beans. But first we had to go to DGB's first flag football game. Here is a pic of Mr. Jock:
He
looks ready to pounce. Uncle Will has been working with him to understand what he is supposed to be doing out on the field.
The business party went well. It got some people's attention and I have a list of about 12 people that I need to sit down with to see how we can help them work towards investing for their future. I look forward to seeing how we're helping others - what a good feeling!
